BIO
Duo Ravellion began playing together in 2015 and were prizewinners the following year at the Twents Guitar Festival in the Netherlands. Since then they have performed across the UK and Sweden, presenting innovative programmes and creative new arrangements to their audiences. Alongside original works for Guitar & Piano Duo by composers such as Hofmeyr, Haug and Castelnuovo-Tedesco, they enjoy using the ensemble's unique sound-world to explore a fresh take on much-loved repertoire. Recent performances have included their own arrangements of Ravel's Mother Goose Suite and Shostakovich's 24 Preludes Op.34, which they arranged with kind permission from Irina Shostakovich.
Jonatan Bougt (guitar) and Irena Radić (piano) are both recent graduates of the Royal College of Music, where they began working together.
